The Forest Collective is a small network of people choosing to show up for one another in a more intentional way.

At the center are home pods, small groups that meet consistently over time. These groups are simple by design, a place to show up, get to know one another, and build trust through regular connection.

Home Pods form around shared life stages and develop their own rhyme for meeting. There is a structure, but not a formula a living structure that continues to take shape through the people who are part of it.

Together, these pods make up the Forest.

The Forest

The Forest is the larger ecosystem and includes those who have joined home pods, special interest pods, or who attend Nature Song offerings: Seedlings, Wandering Roots, and Generation Circle. While the current focus has been on mothers and children, the Forest is evolving into a multi-generational ecosystem of care, mentorship, and shared experiences.

The Forest is also a place for exploration and learning, where curiosity, creativity, and collaboration are encouraged. Members can join monthly circles, workshops, co-created celebrations, and FUN-raisers. Connections formed here are meant to deepen over time, creating relationships that span ages, life stages, and experiences.

While this might sound abstract or idealistic, the Forest Collective is already in motion. It currently includes 32 families in Anchorage and 12 families in Palmar, Alaska, who have built real, ongoing relationships with one another. The first pod began two years ago and still connects daily online, while newer pods meet weekly outdoors and are beginning to form shared daily and weekly rhythms.

A Shared Framework for Connection

So much of what holds relationships, reaching out, planning, remembering, tending, often goes unseen, yet it requires real time and energy. Without a shared structure, friendship groups often rely on the care of the most outgoing, or slowly fade altogether.

In the beginning, there is care and intention to bring people together, to create a structure that is easy to maintain.

The Forest is designed as a framework for connection that supports relationships so they don’t rely on chance or one person’s effort. Over time, as people step in and take part, it begins to hold itself, creating a rhythm where connection, support, and belonging grow more naturally and sustainably.
