Self-love and Storytelling

I have always loved certain aspects of myself (especially in the areas that I outwardly thrive!) but in other areas, doubt, shame and guilt have often made their way in. As I dive into the idea of self-love, our upcoming storytelling theme, I have become more aware of the constant messages that contradict this. Sometimes from those that love me the most.

Dominant culture has a way of competing with the idea that we are whole. If we were whole, why would we go to so much trouble to prove otherwise. Why would we buy the special products that change us into a “better version” of ourselves or hold back from fully expressing ourselves. The next Generation Circle storytelling event is about radical wholeness, self-love, awareness of societies conditioning and the celebration of our unique and beautiful selves!!!! Whew!

Please join me, as we listen to seven women share on this topic. Surround yourself with the words of others who are like you and me, tackling this whole human thing.
