Women Circles

Tonight I took a quick walk out to one of my favorite places in Anchorage. Normally at this time of evening, I’d be sitting in circle with my friends for the new moon but a sick son and a tired husband kept me home.

I’ve been meeting this way with friends for over three years now. It has become an important monthly ritual in my life. A time exclusively for me to slow down. A time to laugh, sing, cry, meditate and think about my life in a deeper and more thoughtful way with other women who love and care for me in a way that I never knew was possible.

Not going tonight made me realize how grateful I am for prioritizing this time for myself and I remember the first night I left my kids alone to come to circle. They were both hugging my legs as I walked down the stairs crying for me not to leave. I almost caved but was so glad I didn’t! (Especially after reading the text from my husband that all was well!)

Now, three years later…I’m bringing circles to girls because this way of connecting with others changes lives.

If you’ve ever thought about starting a circle with friends or are curious about what the heck I’m talking about…I’d love to answer any questions that you have. If there are enough of you interested…I’d love to help you all connect and start your own circle! Leave me a message or comment below.
