The Giving Tree Exchange is a fun way to get outdoors, create something special for another and come together as a community during this time of social distancing!
To participate follow the directions to a tree in your neighborhood. Once there, exchange your handmade gift for one that was left by the last visitor.
If you would like to start a Giving Tree, it is a great way to connect with your neighbors. I’ve started this Facebook group to share directions to other trees around town.
John's Park Giving Tree Directions:
Park in front of the playground at John’s Park. Cross the bridge and make a right at the “Y.” Halfway to the road there is a small snow path to the right that leads to a little tree that has had its top cut off. A waterproof box is hidden under the tree (come from the back.)
To Participate:
Bring something homemade and exchange it for one of the other handmade gifts. Share a picture of your gift or what you found on the The Giving Tree Anchorage Face Book group.
