Guiding Framework

Amy weaves together support for matrescence through the Mama Rising philosophy, nervous system awareness, and creative practices inspired by The Artist’s Way for parents. This blended approach honors the transition into parenthood as a time of deep change, while supporting regulation, self-understanding, and connection. Together, these elements create space for growth, creativity, and a more supported way of being with both self and child.

Rhythm of Each Gathering

This stays the same every week, creating safety and familiarity:

  • Arrival, settling

  • PIES check-in (Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Spiritual)

  • Opening reflection or teaching

  • Paired or group sharing

  • Closing circle

Week by Week

Week 1:
Tending the Spark

We begin by arriving together and tending to what brought each person here. This week creates space to land, to be seen, and to gently name intentions for the time ahead.

Week 2:
Common Thread

We explore the shared experiences that connect us. Through listening and reflection, we begin to recognize the threads that weave us into community.

Week 3:
The Nervous System in Daily Life

We bring awareness to how the nervous system moves through everyday moments. Together, we notice patterns, build understanding, and explore simple ways to support regulation for both caretakers and children.

Week 4:
Matrescence + Emotional Worlds

We honor the transition into parenthood and the emotional landscapes that come with it. This week invites space for the complexity of identity, change, and feeling.

Week 5:
Communication, Relationships, and Repair

We explore how we show up in relationship, with our children, ourselves, and each other. There is a focus on communication, navigating challenges, and the importance of repair.

Week 6:
Naming Our Values

We take time to reflect on what matters most. By naming our values, we begin to align our choices, rhythms, and relationships with what feels true and supportive.

Week 7:
Building the Pod

With a foundation in place, we begin to intentionally shape our pod. This includes exploring ways to support one another, share resources, and strengthen community care.

Week 8:
Reflection + Adjustment

We pause to reflect on what is working and what is asking to shift. This week creates space for honesty, integration, and gentle adjustment as needed.

Week 9:
Ceremony and Moving Forward

We close our time together by honoring the journey we’ve shared. Through simple ceremony, we acknowledge growth, connection, and the ways we will carry this forward.

This pod is for mothers and caretakers (dads are welcome too!) with children of all ages, from newborns and up. The mixed ages create a natural rhythm where older children help care for younger ones, and older kids also get to return to play, explore, and be in the woods.

If this feels like the right space for you, you’re welcome to join directly. Once you sign up, we’ll reach out with next steps and pod placement.

If you’d like to connect before joining, you can schedule a short call to ask questions and get a feel for the experience.
