Nature Song is a living experiment in how we might come together as people.

Here, community is not just an idea, but a practice. We gather across ages, experiences, and perspectives to weave a fabric of belonging that ripples out through our lives and into the places we call home.

In a world where so much feels divided, we need spaces to reimagine how we relate to one another, how we honor life’s transitions, and how we root ourselves in connection.

Founded by Amy Rupp, Nature Song grew from her own search for ways to nurture her family and herself through change. What began as personal experiments has become a shared offering that open new possibilities for how we might live and grow together.

Current Nature
Song Initiatives

Nature Song helps individuals navigate life’s transitions by providing support, connection, and a sense of belonging. Through a strong social structure, we ensure no one moves through these changes alone, fostering wisdom and growth across generations.

Forest Collective

The Forest Collective is a vibrant community of 20+ families who meet regularly to build meaningful connections and support one another in raising children. Caretakers join a “home pod” that meets regularly, these pods coordinate and create opportunities to meet as a whole pod or forest. These connections help families strengthen resilience, share resources, and cultivate a deep sense of community care. New pods form in March and August each year.

Seedling School

Seedling School's drop-off program follows a rhythm that supports a child’s natural desire to explore, learn, play, and move. This rhythm adapts to the changing seasons, creating a dynamic flow that connects children with their environment.

Generation Circle

Generation Circle’s mission is to weave connections across all generations, creating a strong, supportive network that brings together people from all walks of life. By gathering in both intimate and larger group settings, participants cultivate relationships that ripple outward, strengthening not only their own lives but also the broader community.

Cycles of the Wild

Cycles of the Wild supports individuals of all ages through life's key transitions: adolescence, motherhood, menopause, and beyond. These pivotal moments of growth invite reflection and celebration of change, honoring milestones while nurturing a sense of belonging, mutual support, and shared experiences. Embracing these transitions within community strengthens connections and deepens the support that enables individuals to thrive.

Summer Camp

Nature Song Summer Camps offer three unique experiences each year: Adventure, Thrive, and Imagination. Adventure focuses on outdoor exploration, unstructured play, and group games in nature. Thrive supports tweens and teens in exploring personal wellness and navigating the transition to adolescence, all within a peer-supported space. Imagination invites children to engage in storytelling, magic, and creativity, stepping into worlds of wonder and fantasy.

Wandering Roots

Wandering Roots is an adventure-based learning group designed to support children and adults in deepening their connection to place, each other, and the natural world. Rooted in the values of curiosity, play, and community, Wandering Roots brings together a small group of families for weekly field trips, nature walks, and shared learning experiences. Each gathering offers hands-on, experience-rich opportunities to discover through exploration, follow wonder, and learn from community members who carry real-life knowledge and skills. We focus on building meaningful relationships with the land, within the group, and with the people and organizations that make up the Anchorage community. Wandering Roots is currently open to families with children ages 5 to 9 and welcomes adults interested in co-creating and growing this cooperative-style learning model.
